Appellants, Douglas W. Roling and Mary J. Roling, Jack E. Young, Jr. and Janice L. Young, Larry Keith West and Karen A. West, Kevin L. Wisch and Karen M. Wisch, and Archie F. McDaniel and Carolyn S. McDaniel, appeal the declaratory judgment of the Cole County Circuit Court interpreting certain provisions of restrictive covenants covering the real estate subdivision called Sleepy Hollow Estates (Sleepy Hollow), located in Jefferson City, Missouri. Appellants all had acquired property in the Sleepy Hollow subdivision after the subdivision plat and restrictions were recorded. Respondents, Kenneth W. Kauffman and Juanita L. Kauffman, husband and wife, are owners and developers of Sleepy Hollow.
